April 2nd Activity Bundle

Good morning everyone!

Each resource in today’s bundle has a direct link to follow where you can enjoy the activity in full.

MUSIC CLASS WITH ALISON #2

Our friend Alison is saving the day once again with another music class! It’s important in a time like this to stay connected to familiar faces when we are separated for a long time.

Alison Mott has subbed at BCS for a number of years.  She has worked in all the classrooms and is familiar to many of our children. She has also worked closely with BCS classrooms offering music experiences and multi-age Open Studios through grants in recent years. She runs small group music classes for children and their families through Green Mountain Music  Together.

The music is from Music Together’s “Sticks” collection so you can play along with your own sticks (could be wooden spoons, sticks from outside or anything that works like a drumstick). It includes favorites like ‘Hello Everybody’ and ‘Bum Bum ba Dum.”

SURPRISE! MUSIC CLASS WITH ALISON #3

We just can’t get enough of these! Alison said both of these classes are geared towards younger children this week.

FIONA THE HIPPO VIDEOS

One of the Green Preschoolers loves hippos (shoutout to you-know-who! ❤️) and no hippo is more famous than Fiona at the Cincinnati Zoo. The zookeepers have been recording tons of footage of Fiona and have put out three seasons of her show on their Facebook page.

Follow the links below to learn more about Fiona’s incredible story and see her adorable face!

‘SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL’- LET’S GROW KIDS

This is an uplifting music video that features many local musical artists (namely Kat Wright), community members and also features Burlington as the backdrop. It might be nice to see our city looking vibrant and open. It gives us hope that everything will be okay again soon!

MELISSA READS “THE LITTLE MOUSE, THE RED RIPE STRAWBERRY, AND THE BIG HUNGRY BEAR”

This tale written by Audrey Wood is read by one of our Blue Preschool teachers, Melissa.

Be extra easy on yourself today and we will see you all tomorrow!
